How much does it cost?

The cost is NZ$90 (including all applicable taxes) per lane per month. There are no mandatory installation fees for the software, and no exit charges.

What about extra checkouts at peak times, like Christmas?

No problems, simply add the lanes and purchase a months licence (note, licences are calendar month based). When the peak period is past, stop paying for this lane.

Do I have to keep paying if I stop using it?

No. You can stop using the system at any time. You can continue to run the system in read only mode (with some restrictions) even if you have no longer pay for the system. This allows you to review, report and audit stores you may have closed.

Can I purchase the system outright?

Yes. Contact sales for more information.

Do I need lanes just for Reporting?

Generally no. The system includes the ability to display reports in your web browser on any PC connected to your store network. Technically speaking, the system includes a mini web server, so any system that has network connectivity can open reports.

What Countries and Tax juristrictions are handled?

Currently only New Zealand tax is available, versions for Australia and the United Kingdom will be released from testing shortly.

How many lanes/checkouts and stores will it support?

Fieldpine has individual customers with hundreds of lanes and stores. You probably do not need to ask this question until you have around 200 lanes per store and hundreds of stores. For customers with this scale of operation, we offer Customised Retail Solutions, which is based on exactly the same technology as POSGreen2007.

Is POSGreen 2007 Vista Ready?

Yes, POSGreen 2007 operates on Microsoft Vista. You may have issues with printer drivers and other hardware drivers however.

What happens for EFTPOS (Chip and Pin)?

The system includes support for Cadmus and DPS interfaced EFTPOS directly. More corporate orientated solutions such as Provenco's Syncro and PC-EFTPOS can also be added on request.

What about Support?

We offer comprehensive email and Web based support, with knowledge bases and issue logging. In some countries we also offer 0800 support lines for critical "system down" situations.

What sort of PC do I need?

Any Windows XP, Window 2000 or higher machine is suitable. For counter operation we do not require high specification machines. If you ensure the system has enough memory to run Windows without performance impact, it will be suitable for POSGreen.

What about receipt printers, scales and barcode scanners?

You will need retail hardware to augment your PC. We recommend the Epson TM88 receipt printer as it is extremely reliable and easy to operate. For barcode scanners we recommend the Metrologic range. We work with almost all retail hardware although some models and devices require configuration - we advise you to get the supplier to perform this configuration (we will provide technical instructions of what must be done)
